Established in 1906, Boggs Academy was primarily a preparatory school for the African American middle class from Georgia and other states built with value-centered priorities and educational assets. We grew to the clear understanding that emotional intelligence, personal integrity and self-confidence acquired through mentorship are among the most important and reliable predictors of success and achievement.
In a remarkably consistent manner, generations of Boggs graduates spanning 8 decades describe the value of belonging to something larger than oneself and one’s individual needs. They identify the teachers and coaches who had a lifelong influence on them. These are key elements in the “Boggs Experience.”
